Trees were felled to build a NC Healthy Built Home

         Going "Green"

Reducing landfill waste to save the planet one day at a time is our motto at Stoney Creek Lumber. Our main goal is to take trees from a building site and utilize the lumber in the construction of the house or building.  The trees are felled and milled into valuable building materials such as flooring, mouldings etc. This falls under the "green house certification" in the LEEDS for new construction. We have recently milled the trees for a "green house" at Southern Shores, NC.

This "green house" is under construction by Real Escapes Ltd., Harbinger, NC. (252) 491-2670

Here the trees are being sawn into boards before sent to the dry kiln.

The boards are sized and made ready to be
milled into the finished product.  Here tongue and groove pine flooring is being made.


Window casing, door casing and baseboard were all made from the trees that were removed from the site.
